i had a big fascination about tokyo and japan. when i visited tokyo three years ago, i was overwhelmed of the massive impressions i got in this crazy and big city. i still have friends there.
i was and i still am shocked about what happened in japan march 11th, and i think it's something that everyone should be concerned of, cause it's one of the biggest help sign for our planet! now i heard of the project "tomodachi", which means my friend in japanese. a few people living in tokyo/japan and people who worked in this city created a webshop with lots of cool stuff. a lot of different artists are contributing to this shop such as artist, illustrator and musician robert crumb (fritz the cat) or director, screenwriter and musician michel gondry (eternal sunshine of the spotless mind) and many many more. the whole benefit goes to the japanese red cross. so please visit the page, check the big range of cool stuff and order something!

After Soho, Paris, London and Berlin Zurich is the 5th place to open up a lacoste l!ve flagship store.

lacoste l!ve is the new line of lacoste. it's rather club wear than casual, rather sexy than sport. the store is built like a giant dressing room. movable coat stands, a mixture of modern neon lightning and vintage wooden floor make an easy and relaxed atmosphere.

it's the collection that brings colour in to the room. patterned polo shirts, colourful slippers, pants and jackets. here you can get dressed up from head to toe.

of course the opening was a really cool event. nice drinks and crêpes and good music by the really funny loco slickers.

sueños is spanish for dreams. a name that perfectly describes the jewellery of arlette kiefer and kaspar rüegg. their work is influenced and inspired by the impressions of their many travels. whether it's an asian temple carving or the colours of the south pacific, skate teeth as a centerpiece of a necklace or a water buffalo's horn for earrings. it all makes their work incredibly unusual and unique.

i admire the creativity and handicraft of all of their pieces. they're always 'finished'. they always have a front and a back that's perfectly processed. never would a clasp disturb the perfect image because it's always hidden or a big part of the piece.

you are now able to see those treasures at their new store in glockengasse 2, zurich or on

There's a lot more about zurich's famous langstrasse than just sex shops and cabarets.

get proof by attending kreislauf 4+5 on may 14th or 15th (yes, shops in kreis 4 and 5 are open this sunday)!  local "celebs" like christa de carouge, hannes hug, michèle roten, yannick aellen, laurence antiglio and daniel freitag take you on a tour through one of the busiest and most creative areas in the city. more than 90 stores* take part in this shopping and strolling weekend. are you tired of chain stores and looking for the unique places selling on of a kind pieces? this is your event!

get to know more on

*one of those is alsamendi. designer javier alsamendi describes his clothes as deconstructed classics with a sassy touch – "spicy trimmings for a tasty style. made in switzerland." take the opportunity to admire the indivdual hand made pieces at langstrasse 215.
