sueños is spanish for dreams. a name that perfectly describes the jewellery of arlette kiefer and kaspar rüegg. their work is influenced and inspired by the impressions of their many travels. whether it's an asian temple carving or the colours of the south pacific, skate teeth as a centerpiece of a necklace or a water buffalo's horn for earrings. it all makes their work incredibly unusual and unique.
i admire the creativity and handicraft of all of their pieces. they're always 'finished'. they always have a front
and a back that's perfectly processed. never would a clasp disturb the perfect image because it's always hidden or a big part of the piece.
