ART | 41 | BASEL: STREET STYLE AND IMPRESSIONS

the style at art basel was more rich and chic than flashy and arty. there were many art collectors who really could afford the expensive paintings and sculptures that were shown at the exhibition. i've never seen so many chanel, fendi and hermès bags in one day!

here the best street styles:

at the entrance of the art show we met su mang, the chief-editor of harper's bazaar china. she's wearing a cape from hermès and a crocodile bag from tod's.
but there were also people with great style and affordable clothes like susana, an artist from zurich/lima, who is wearing a scarf, a skirt and a bag from the peruvian flea market. well combined with a pink jacket from american apparel and neon sneakers from adidas.

anna_alexandra_art_basel3

anna clivio (left) looks like sonia rykiel! she's only wearing clothes from her favourite designer and fashion icon sonia rykiel... (as you can see.. ) this time she made an exception and took a hermès bag instead..
the artist alexandra fly from berlin with the hilarious self-made vagina-dress is fighting for the women rights. she explained that to tina in funny way. she thinks that the globalization didn't bring any progress for women.

of course there were many journalists that day. during our tour through the show we saw the columnist and author mark van huisseling. he was hunting celebrities for his new tv show which starts 24/06 at 8:00 p.m. at pro sieben. he's wearing a tailor-made suit from grieder and a very cool bag from Jas. M.B. London from the store l’éclaireur in paris. his favourite artist is ed ruscha.

stephan_deborah_art_basel6

deborah attracted our attention with her golden dress from diane von furstenberg and her short hair. her bag is from prada and her favourite artist is basquiat.
